New Vodka Cocktails
Upcoming TDN – Bols Genever
Genever may be my favorite new spirit of the year. Combining the coniferous lure of juniper with a proper gentleman’s dose of malt, Genever manages to taste like gin and whisky at the same time. If only other spirit flavor profiles combined in such quizzically alluring ways… like rum and Chartreuse for example? Fernet Branca and maraschino liqueur? Ok, I’ll stop. Join us this week for TDN ( What’s Thursday Drink Night? ) to mix up original Bols Genever cocktails.
The winning cocktail of the evening will receive a copy of The Jones Complete Bar Guide courtesy of Mud Puddle Books.

Oval Vodka Wrap-Up
Who would have thought cocktail pomps could produce so many delicious vodka recipes in one night? It was an impressive sight to see bartenders, mixologists, and cocktail enthusiasts putting aside their usual mistrust of the best selling spirit in the U.S. and generating some cocktails that easily put any number of rye whiskey or gin cocktails to shame.
