Upcoming TDN – BarSol Pisco
Our first pisco-themed TDN ( What’s Thursday Drink Night? ) will feature one of the most-liked of its kind among cocktail enthusiasts – BarSol. Diego Loret de Mola, a knowledgeable and passionate pisco lover, will be joining us to answer questions and mix up drinks throughout the night.
The prize for the best original cocktail of the evening will be a bottle of Peruvian bitters donated by Mud Puddle Books.

Rum Wrap-Up
Though we had a low turn out due to a deadly bout of scurvy, potions were crafted nonetheless, and not without success.

Columbus Rum Sling
- 1oz Appleton Extra
- 1/2oz Myers
- 1/2oz London dry gin
- 1/2oz Cherry Heering
- 1/2oz Cointreau
- 1/2oz lemon juice
- 1/4oz simple syrup
- 1/4oz ginger syrup
- tonic water, to top
- nutmeg, grated for garnish
Shake as if Queen Isabella had commanded it. Strain, top with tonic, and grate nutmeg from your ship’s hold.
Batgirl
Sayonara Swizzle
- 1oz Lemon Hart 151
- 1oz Oronoco
- 1oz pineapple juice
1/2oz lime juice
- 1/2oz spiced honey syrup
- 2 dashes Peychaud bitters
- ginger beer, to top
Swizzle with a flaming back scratcher.
Gabe from cocktailnerd
Vanilla Treat
- 1/2oz white rum (your favorite)
- 1/2oz tequila blanco
- 2oz grapefruit juice
- 1/2oz lime juice
- 1/2oz vanilla syrup
- 1/4oz creme de cacao
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1/2oz Wray and Nephew overproof rum, floated
Shake all but the float with crushed ice and pour into mug garnished with 500 limes. Float on the lovely JWray.

Adriatic Spice Trader
- 1oz Appleton Extra
- 3/4oz Melletti (sub Averna)
- 1/2oz lime juice
- 1t simple syrup
- 1 dash Herbsaint
- ginger beer, to top
- 1/2oz Wray and Nephew overproof rum, floated
Board an Italian trade ship in the 15th century. Mix this for the captain. Take control of the ship after he has happily imbibed 10 of them. Oh, and shake it with crushed ice.
