The Grog Log recipe is wonderful! I make my own passion fruit syrup:

Reduce 2 c. Looza passion fruit nectar to 1 cup
add 1 cup sugar
cook until thickened
place in glass jar and refrigerate.

Thanks for the kind words Craiger. The power of the tiki just pulls you in and doesn't let go. One of my good friends, Adam, has been on a crazy vintage-tiki-mug finding spree. Hopefully I'll be able to "acquire" some of his newfound items for use in my pictures. The author of Grog Log, Jeff Berry, also has two other tiki books out which have been recommended to me. I look forward to picking them up soon.

How is it that I haven’t yet picked up a copy of the Grog Log yet!!?? I love tiki/polynesian stuff, and also am a cocktail enthusiast. This Hurricane recipe may be what finally gets me to buy this book.

By the way…great site (I just discovered it about a week ago)! I love all the recipes, research, and wonderful photos. Keep up the good work! It’s obviously a labor of love.
